Una soluzione consiste nell’installare un kit deflettori (venduto separatamente) al tunnel di poppa per prevenire la cavitazione. I deflettori sono perfetti per deviare l'acqua lontano da ostacoli come entrofuoribordo, montanti della spiaggetta di poppa, trim tab o altri accessori installati sullo specchio di poppa.

Si noti che l'aggiunta di un kit deflettori riduce la spinta effettiva di alcuni punti percentuali, quindi non è consigliabile aggiungerlo se non strettamente necessario.
