Sleipner uses approximately 40 million NOK on product development yearly and will, in the next 2-3 years, launch several new and innovative products for the future, with cutting-edge technological solutions.
We are now looking for two experienced engineers for the development and commercialization of new electro-mechanical products. The candidates will have independent responsibility for their solutions within larger projects. In addition to being academically solid, we expect you to be smart and effective in executing/implementing and that you have excellent collaboration skills.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Design and construction of new products
- Maintenance and upgrades on existing products
- Dialogue with partners and research environments on technology
- Supplier search and preparation of material and product specifications
- Development of prototypes and test implementation, often in collaboration with DNV
- Broad collaboration with purchasing, production, and the market in the transition from project to series-produced product
- Collaborate with the world's leading boat manufacturers on the introduction of new technology
Main qualifications
- You are passionate about product development and are particularly interested in finding innovative solutions
- Solid understanding of product development, mechanics, and 3D construction
- You are a team player who cooperates well with other departments
- Relevant education at bachelor's/master's level or equivalent
- Solid experience with product development
